In February, 2019, Conrad & Paula participated in the 4th Annual Bountiful Davis Art Center Plein Air Competition. The opening of the show was March 1st, so in early February they were out in the field with their paints & easels. Conrad signed up to submit two paintings. This submission was painted on location near 7800 S 300 West, Paradise, Utah 84328. The other was painted at Creekside Park in Bountiful, Utah. It was cold & very wintery, to say the least, painting at both locations. In Paradise, he set up his easel in an alfalfa field a hundred yards from the road in 20 inches of snow. He painted from 1:30pm until about 4:30pm until the wind picking up & it got freezing cold!
