When Maurice Obray of Paradise, Utah passed away, Conrad’s Dad inherited Maurice’s old red tractor. In today’s day & age, it would probably be against the law to drive it — lots of un-haltered power & exposed moving parts that could cut your finger off, perhaps a hand or an arm…or even your leg! No seatbelt either! Most of the time it remained parked in Dad’s big garage. He did use it in the spring to plow the garden & in the winter to push lots of snow around in the neighborhood. Conrad’s watercolor portrait of the “The Best Ol’ Farmhand” includes in the background an old barn located at the Jensen Historical Farm in Wellsville, Utah.
