Almost every summer Conrad’s family goes camping for at least a few days at Tony Grove Lake which is located up Logan canyon between Logan & Garden City (Bear Lake). It’s high up in the Wasatch mountain range in Northern Utah. We hike, fish, swim & just thoroughly enjoy the outdoors together. A few years ago, our kids relieved us of daily cooking duties which opened up four hours a day to spend painting & drawing. The open time has really been appreciated & added a number of pieces to Conrad’s repertoire of paintings & drawings. The repose of this vacant campsite next to his kid’s campsite really drew Conrad’s attention this trip. Conrad nearly completed two watercolor paintings in one day on this vacation. Conrad used his Winsor & Newton Cotman Watercolor Pocket Plus Set to paint this watercolor sketch.
