"Saved by the Spirit"
11.5”x15” Full-Color Fine Art Edition Printed on White 80 Lb Cover Stock Paper
This is a reproduction of the original artwork Paula L Bowen painted at home with acrylic paint on a 8”x10” gesso primed canvas panel.
In September 1993, Paula was pregnant with our 5th daughter. One afternoon she was so anemic & tired she wanted to rest on the sofa before fixing dinner. As she leaned over to lie down, she heard a voice say “ Stop. Call the girls in the house first!” All came in except one who wanted to ride her tricycle. After prodding she came in the house. After closing the door, looking out the front window, Paula saw an unattended car rolling down the street. At our house it jumped the curb, roared across our grass & dragged the tricycle across our driveway plowing into our Ash tree. The impact left a very large scar on the trunk of the tree still visible today. Paula made this painting for our children & grandchildren encouraging them to always obey their parents. And, a memorial of faith reminding all of us to listen & act on any promptings we may receive.
