For Conrad and his family, this house across the street from his parent’s house, in Paradise, Utah will always be known as Maurice & Ruby Obray’s house! Since the Obray’s moved on to greener pastures years ago, the Adairs’ have lived there and now the Wallers. The pine trees have grown a lot taller, the front window is now 3-panel, the old car sheds and granary are long-gone, replaced by a huge tin garage, but the old barn and remnants of the chicken coop still remain in the backyard (see Conrad’s painting: "Obray Farm"). The place still holds fond memories for Conrad when he was a kid reading Nancy Drew books in Ruby’s little library room, helping them plant & harvest their garden, fun times gathered near their homemade grill & fire pit in the backyard & sharing college art projects with Ruby into the wee hours of the night!
